Concert Health is the leading behavioral health medical group providing turnkey services for primary care and women’s health.

Challenge

How do you position a fast-growing behavioral health company to attract key talent and drive awareness with medical groups and health systems?

Approach

We were engaged to help Concert establish their position as a rapidly growing industry leader and partner of choice for providers and health plans making behavioral health an integrated part of primary care.

Our partnership began in the fall of 2020 just weeks before Concert was set to announce a major partnership with hospital system CommonSpirit Health. Working closely with the leadership team, we developed a comprehensive media relations campaign in under two weeks that showcased Concert’s growth in the marketplace and its potential for CommonSpirit’s patients and provider network.

As we moved into long term communications planning, we reviewed Concert’s existing messaging foundation, content and social media channels. To build strong impressions with target markets and concisely explain Concert’s impact, we developed a messaging platform that better defined their unique brand identity and positioning.

Concert’s updated messaging platform needed a visual identity to bring their positioning to life. We executed a brand and website refresh that reflected Concert’s  core company values and maturity as a partner of choice for providers and health systems.

Concert portafolio

For the visual style, we created a clean, simple color scheme that featured logo-based design elements evoking collaboration and connection. This elevated style gave Concert a mature and sophisticated brand identity to match their rapid growth and industry-leading partnerships.

Concert website

We built out Concert’s website with value-based messaging that leveraged their powerful data as proof points and showcased their mission to give every American access to high-quality behavioral health services. We also developed a complementary social media strategy to engage target audiences and attract key talent.

Impact

Concert was featured in STAT News in September 2021 in an article that showcased their role in the crowded mental health space. A startup delivers mental health care to those missed by the unicorns

The piece focused on Concert’s model and positioning in the industry, emphasizing how they are reaching underserved populations via Medicare and Medicaid. It also highlighted specific partners that Concert’s hospital system and payer audiences care about. The article, which resulted from 11 month of proactive pitching and conversations with the reporter, also included a Q&A with the company’s co-founders. It was initially free to access for several months before it moved behind STAT’s paywall.

Concert has since been featured as an expert resource in STAT’s industry coverage, such as: A telehealth effort to treat PTSD and bipolar disorder in rural areas showed ‘huge gains.’ Now comes the hard part

In fall 2020, Concert’s CommonSpirit announcement secured a breadth of high-reach media placements and laid down a strategic foundation for future announcements and milestones. The media coverage engaged 138M online readers and 113,000 unique views.

Forbes published a feature on the partnership that positioned Concert as a marquee partner for health plans and a leader driving a new model for primary care. Trade publications including Modern Healthcare, Fierce Healthcare, and This Week in Health IT covered the collaboration “tackling mental health” with an approach that better addresses anxiety and depression.

The positive tone and favorability solidified Concert Health’s position as an innovative partner and leader uniquely delivering behavioral health to improve overall health outcomes – something that many other solutions have yet to accomplish.

On January 28, 2021 we announced Concert’s Series A financing led by Vertical Venture Partners with participation from Town Hall Ventures and Silicon Valley Bank, and continued support from early investors including Healthy Ventures and Clearvision Equity. Read the press release here to learn more about Concert’s plans to grow its clinical, technology and commercial teams to rapidly scale Concert’s exceptional, turnkey behavioral health services in primary care and women’s health settings.
